Quillin Clan Reunion is here on Sunday, August 16, 2026 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Events Saturday – Aug 15
    • AM – Local Cemetery Tour: Explore Quillin(en) ancestors’ cemeteries. If interested, RSVP by Monday, Aug 10.
    • PM – Meet at the Scott County Historical Society for a genealogy swap. See the collection of documents, pictures, memorabilia, and more. RSVP if interested.
    • 6 PM – Quillin Fest at Antioch Church: Fundraiser with bands, food, kids’ games, and more. $10 donation for ages 12 and up. Bring a chair or blanket.
  • Events Sunday – Aug 17

    • 85th Annual Family Reunion: Meet-and-greet 10 AM, meeting 11 AM, potluck lunch, games for all ages
    • Digital copy of “The Quillin (MacQuillin) Family” book on a flash drive, t-shirts, flags, and more.

How to get there: Antioch Church, 2402 Nickelsville Hwy 71, 3 miles east of Gate City, VA.

Look for Antioch Circle/route number 792. It’s a small one-lane road as a loop off and on the highway.

The church has electricity but no running water.

On September 11, 1867 the Antioch Church site was donated to the Methodist Church by John D. Quillin.

It has been the annual meeting place since 1938.

In 1980, it was decommissioned by the United Methodist Church and purchased by the Quillin Clan.
